Hi all, we will be welcoming Amanda Delaney Canine Ed, tucked away in the beautiful Southern Highlands near Robertson. We will either be at Canine Ed or a location in Robertson for this one. This workshop will focus on Nose Work Skills for Trialling and pre-trial Scent Work.

Hi all, we will be welcoming Amanda Delaney Canine Ed, tucked away in the beautiful Southern Highlands near Robertson. We will either be at Canine Ed or a location in Robertson for this one. This workshop will focus on Nose Work Skills for Trialling and pre-trial Scent Work.
Please note we may have split sessions depending on registrations to accommodate everyone's skill levels.
Session Times are:
- Starters/Pre-Trial - Saturday 9:00AM-12:30PM
- Novice - Saturday 1:30PM-5:00PM
- Split Session Excellent - Sunday 9:00AM-12:30PM
- Split Session Advanced - Sunday 1:30PM-5:00PM
Over the two day workshop, Amanda will select from a range of general topics listed below:
- Handling skills and building teamwork
- How handler movement influences the dog,
- How to navigate a search area.
- How and when to provide direction to your dog.
- Planning your training to achieve success at higher levels.
- How to set hides to further your training goals.
- How to isolate components to build your dog’s understanding of odour.
- How to successfully train multiple hides, elevated hides and inaccessible hides.
Additionally, the workshop will offer sessions on each element including topics selected from the following, which will be specific to the element under discussion, eg: • the requirements for each element as you progress from Novice. • setting-up training scenarios. • developing the key dog and handler skills specific for each element.
